A couple wearing masks broke into a food mart in Port St. Lucie Wednesday, according to police.

They released surveillance video of the break-in at the Tropical Food Mart on NW Airoso Boulevard.

The pair, a male and female, wore gloves and covered their faces.

Police say the male took money from a cash register and filled a backpack with cigarettes in the front of the store while the female went to the rear and loaded up undisclosed items.

The man is described as white with a stocky build. His partner has a thin build.

If you have any information you should call the Port St. Lucie Police Department at (772) 871-5001 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273 TIPS.
