Tenants terrorized by rats in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Fla. - Tenants in a large apartment complex in Palm Beach County said they're being terrorized by rats, and no one seems to care.

Residents Avesta Coronado Springs apartments in Palm Springs finally reached out to WFLX FOX 29 for help.

A property manager acknowledged that, "We're having an issue and we're taking care of it."

But tenants that FOX 29 spoke with see it very differently.

“They're in the walls you can hear them. I caught one in the bathroom, and I like squished it in the door and it was disgusting,” said resident Joelle Etienne.  “Their only solution is to patch the holes where they're coming from, but the rats literally ate through them.”

Multiple tenants shared similar problems with rats, but said they didn't know where to turn.

FOX 29 told the residents to contact with Palm Springs code enforcement, which says it will investigate as soon as those complaints come in.
