Jimmy Wayne Reed: Arrest made in connection with Fort Pierce fatal shooting

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Fort Pierce police have arrested a man they say, fired at a vehicle killing one person and injuring the other.

The incident happened on February 3 at the Lucky 7 Food Market on 510 N. 13th Street in Fort Pierce.

According to police, the two victims were sitting in a parked vehicle when the suspect, Jimmy Wayne Reed III, approached and fired numerous rounds into the vehicle.

Both victims, Laborious Work and Amber Osmond, were transported to Lawnwood Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds.

Works died at the hospital. Osmond was listed in stable condition.

Detectives say Reed was arrested on first & attempted first degree murder charges, along with shooting a deadly missile.

Reed was arrested without incident.
