Digging into Douglas Ellington's Riviera Beach personnel file

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- We're learning more about Douglas Ellington, the man arrested in connection with a bomb threat made at a water treatment plant in Riviera Beach.

Ellington's personnel records show he was suspended from the city's water treatment plant on Dec. 9, 2015 and placed on paid administrative leave.

Records show he worked at the plant as an electrician until he was fired on Feb. 16, 2016.

His Riviera Beach personnel file shows he was suspended twice from his job in Riviera Beach: From Sept. 8 to Sept. 9 for two days and again from Nov. 20 to Nov. 30 for five days. Records show he took vacation time without approval.

Records show in December he was cited for insubordination for not wearing his Riviera Beach employee uniform on three separate occasions that same month.

Ellington was hired by the city on March 24, 2014 with a base salary of $45,068. His last salary was $47,773.

His employee evaluation on Sept. 24, 2015 shows he received a "Satisfactory" score.
