11 high-end cars stolen from Delray Beach used car dealership

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - 11 high-end cars disappeared from a Delray Beach used car dealership this weekend. Now, police are asking for your help finding the thieves.

Raymund Agcaoili is the sales manager at Delray Auto Mall. He says when the first employee arrived at the dealership on North Federal Highway Saturday morning, he noticed the gate was off its hinges and someone had broken into the office, where keys were all over the floor. 11 cars were missing from the lot.

"They had to be organized to perpetrate something like that very fast," Agcaoili says.

There are 230 cars on the lot, but it's now missing a Porsche, an Acura, an Infinity and six Mercedes Benz automobiles. Agcaoili says the missing cars are worth $361,920 combined.

"They probably had a whole crew, which would be quicker," Agcaoili points out.

Authorities found two of the cars in Broward County Monday.

"The bumper is all scratched, the lights are pushed in," Agcaoili says pointing to a 2007 Hummer he believes was used to bust down the gate.

Tuesday, crime scene technicians were on scene checking out a recovered Mercedes E63.

Police say detectives are investigating several possibilities.

"Could it be an inside job? That occurs to [detectives]. Other people who are actively stealing vehicles all over Florida, [detectives] look at those people," says Delray Beach police spokeswoman Dani Moschella.

Agcaoili says he has trust in the police and his employees.

"We're a tight dealership. I don't think the current employees would be involved in a horrible situation like that," Agcaoili says.

Moschella says it's unusual to have a large number of cars stolen at once. She says there are no trends of criminals targeting car dealers.

The owner of Delray Auto Mall says he's putting $10,000 toward an existing $3,000 reward for information about the crime.

"It couldn't have been just one person. It took a little while, somebody knows what happened," Moschella points out.
