Reward increased in cold case; family searches for justice in murder of Cynthia Moffett

Several members of a large family traveled from around the country to Palm Beach County to renew their call for justice a decade after losing a loved one.

Cynthia Moffett, whose brothers and sisters called Cindy, was working at the Forest Oaks Golf Club on March 23, 2006.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Investigators believe a person or persons came in to rob the shop.

They shot and killed Cindy, and got away with $300 in wrapped coins.

Though the killer still hasn't been caught, investigators believe they are making progress.

Without giving away specifics, they say over the past 3 months, new persons of interest have come to light.

“We're also utilizing new DNA technology, and re-testing all the evidence that was collected on the day of the crime,” said Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jeff Weissman.

“They can go about thinking they got away with it…but uh uh,” said Cindy’s brother Randy Moffett.

The reward in this case has been upped to $25 thousand.

If you have any information you are urged to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1.800.458.TIPS.
