Boca Raton City Hall to open on time after it flooded from heavy rainfall

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Boca Raton City Hall was flooded after heavy rainfall Thursday evening.

Restoration crews were brought in overnight to clean up the damage sustained to flooring and carpets.

Boca Raton Fire Rescue says the building experienced flooding on the first and second floors.

Officials say City Hall will reopen Friday during regular business hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

However, the offices which sustained moderate damage, One Stop Permitting and Parking Services, will likely reopen at about noon.

Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie said the community center behind City Hall was not flooded.
