JUNO BEACH, Fla.- People in our area are getting an early start on Easter Sunday.
Many are attending Easter Sunrise services.
At the Juno Pier, more than 1000 people turned out for prayer and reflection for the first of two services today at 6:30 a.m.
The service is a longstanding tradition. This year it was hosted by the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church of Juno Beach.
People lined the pier with lawn chairs and their loved ones. Many did the same on the sand.
Those who attended describe the service and moving and spiritual.
"I got chills, of course," said Betsy Janick, of Tequesta. "You can feel the Holy Spirit here. They played one of my favorite songs, so I had tears in my eyes. It was great."
"This is something I would never miss because you feel much closer to God," said Jinny Schulz, of North Palm Beach. "Just being here out in the open, watching the sun come up being in nature with the ocean."
