Body found after fire at Palm Beach Gardens home

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Palm Beach Gardens police said a body was found after an early-morning fire at a home on 40th Terrace North. 

The fire was reported at 4:58 a.m. Tuesday.

The home, located at 8761 40th Terrace North Apt. 1, is just south of Northlake Boulevard and west of Interstate 95.

Chopper 5 flew over the scene at 6 a.m. and spotted multiple fire rescue trucks and crime scene tape.

After crews extinguished the fire, the remains of an unidentified body were found. 

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.  The cause of the fire has not been released.
