BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A motorcyclist was killed in Boynton Beach Tuesday night after being struck by a car that left the scene of the crash.
Boynton Beach police say Woolbright Road had to be shut down in both directions from the Interstate 95 exit to Seacrest Boulevard as officials investigated the fatal wreck.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later found an abandoned white Buick they say hit the motorcyclist. Investigators are still seeking a man and woman in connection with the fatal crash.
Boynton Beach spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said the victim's next of kin lives out of state and has not yet been notified.
All roads in the area have reopened.
