Jupiter homeowner: Lightning struck shed, burst into flames

JUPITER, Fla. - Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is investigating a fire they put out moments after there was lightning in the area.

At around 5:30 p.m. firefighters were called to a house showing smoke and flames. Neighbors say they heard a loud boom and ran outside to see what had happened.

The couple inside the townhouse says they were having dinner at the time of the incident. One of them reports seeing flames from the second floor. Frank Agnoto and his wife say they are counting their blessings.

""We're alive, we weren't sleeping. If we were sleeping who knows what would have happened."

Fire Rescue haven't confirmed the fire was caused by a direct strike, but they are investigating it.
