Palm Beach International Airport loses power, switches to generators

UPDATE: FOX 29's Jacqulyn Powell reports power has returns but lines remain long.

EARLIER:

Palm Beach International Airport says that it lost power at 11:17 a.m Monday.

Luggage machines are not working properly.

Crews are calling the names of passengers and handing out bags manually.

Some said they had to wait almost an hour for their luggage. Other said they have been waiting an hour to purchase tickets.

Lights inside the terminal are dim.

No flights have been canceled but some passengers say they have not been allowed to board their flights.

Some incoming passengers said they had to wait one and a half hours to deplane because the jetways were not working.

The airport said it is using emergency generators.
