Rosemarie Barry, James Barry's grandmother is in mourning. She got a phone call from her son late Wednesday night.

"Mom, mom, James is dead. And I said no, no, no that can't happen. My beautiful grandson."

She is struggling to cope with his death. She told NewsChannel 5 by phone that she cries a lot.  Someone stabbed the 21-year-old man in his home late Wednesday night.

"For me, a loving, gentle, beautiful young man," she said.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says family members discovered Barry. Since then, detectives have been looking for a person of interest, 20-year-old Melanie Eam. They believe she is driving a white Toyota Corolla.

This afternoon Eam's father agreed to talk with NewsChannel 5 as long as we did not show his face. He said he can't believe his daughter is a person of interest in the case.

"My body just froze," he said.

He and his wife also want answers.

"We couldn't sleep, we cannot eat. it's like a dream. You wake up and you say this cannot happen."

Meanwhile, the Barry family is making funeral arrangements. "He was so much joy to the whole family."
