Police: Boynton teen punches pregnant woman

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Police say an 18-year-old woman punched a pregnant woman who was holding a toddler when a fight escalated in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store located on Old Boynton Road.

A Boynton Beach police report says two women walked in front of a car Taiyaima Jean was sitting in last Thursday evening.

Jean and the women started arguing over who had the right-of-way. Jean got out of the car and chest bumped the pregnant woman before hitting her in the face.

The Palm Beach Post reports the woman, who is four months pregnant, set the child down and began fighting Jean. Her sister also joined in the fight.

Jean remains jailed on charges of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, child abuse and simple battery. Records don't list a lawyer for her.
