GREENACRES, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities in South Florida say a 12-year-old boy was beaten up and robbed of two pairs of sneakers worth hundreds of dollars.
The Palm Beach Post reports that two adults are facing robbery charges after they and three juveniles attacked the boy in the Tavares Cove mobile-home community near Greenacres, Florida.
The boy told Palm Beach Sheriff's Office detectives that he had gone to a birthday party with the intent of selling Air Jordan Retro 12 sneakers worth $300.
He was walking back to his home early Sunday when the five attackers, who had been at the party, confronted him.
The boy says they also stole a pair of $200 sneakers he was wearing.
The two adults, Nicolas Sanchez and Gonzalo Munoz, were being held on $7,500 bail.
