WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A child was shot Saturday afternoon in West Palm Beach.
West Palm Beach police say an 11-year-old girl was a passenger in a car driving through the parking lot at 2100 N. Australian Avenue when she was struck by a bullet.
The girl was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
Police investigators believe that the occupants of the car were not the intended target(s) of the shooting.
Multiple people were at the scene of the shooting and refused to cooperate with the investigation.
