BRADENTON/SARASOTA, FLA. – Bealls Department Stores is proud to announce that $15,007 was raised during a two-day Veterans Day promotion.

For every Reel Legends® product sold in stores and online, $1 was donated by Bealls to support the veterans’ programs of Southeastern Guide Dogs. “We’d like to thank all of our customers for supporting our partnership with Southeastern Guide Dogs during our Veterans Day promotion. For every Reel Legends® item purchased, we donated $1 to this wonderful organization,” said Matt Beall, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer for Bealls Department Stores, Inc. “As a local Florida family business, we pride ourselves in giving back to the communities in which we operate throughout Florida. We truly enjoy being able to connect our exclusive Reel Legends® brand to organizations that have such a positive impact on the people in our communities.”

Through the various veteran-related programs offered, Southeastern Guide Dogs assists active duty soldiers and retired servicemen and women with guide dogs, service dogs, facility therapy dogs, emotional support dogs and Gold Star Family dogs that help restore independence, mobility, freedom and dignity. Veterans are paired with magnificently trained dogs to meet their needs at no cost, and given education, resources and training, plus the lifetime of support that they so richly deserve.

“Southeastern Guide Dogs receives no government funding and relies upon the generosity of the community for its programs,” said Titus Herman, Southeastern Guide Dogs Chief Executive Officer. “This extremely generous donation showcases how companies and their customers care – thank you for stepping up and supporting our veterans and their families. Through this donation, we will be able to provide life-saving dogs for those who cannot see and for those who have seen too much.”
