Army Veteran Mike Warren and his dog ‘Goose’ are inseparable.

“I don't think I'd be here without Goose honestly,” Warren says.

It's a bond that takes man's best friend to a whole new level.

Warren was fighting for our country back in 2008 when his life changed forever.

“I was hit by a car bomb. I ended up breaking my back, I had a traumatic brain injury,” he says.

After returning home, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder threatened to bring down his entire world.

“I went from a hero to a zero,” he says.

Then, about 5 years ago, through the K9's for Vets program, he was paired with Goose.

“He can pick anything, bring me my shoes, my cane, any of that stuff,” Warren says. “He'll wake me up if I'm having a bad dream.”

He says that partnership has made all the difference.

“I'm out and about and, I feel like I have a purpose again.”

Thursday, Warren helped the Stryker Corporation pay it forward.

The company donated $20,000 towards a service dog for another veteran at the Honda Classic's Military Appreciation Day.

“I think it's safe to say that these dogs really are lifesavers,” says Mike Landers with Stryker. “So it feels good, and it's really important to be part of the program.”

Giving back to those who gave so much, it's what military appreciation is all about.

“He'll just come up, and he'll lick your face, or sit next to you,” Warren says. “He'll just make it be known that everything is going to be OK.”

As a reminder, active Military and veterans get into the Honda Classic for free throughout the entire tournament.
