Round two of the Honda Classic starts Friday morning. The first tee time is 6:45 a.m.

At the end of the first round Cody Gribble and Wesley Bryan were tied for first.

Way before the first swing, thousands of crew members and volunteers arrive to prepare the tournament course.

Among the 1,700 volunteers are Dave Keiger and Ken Arnold. Arnold signed up this year and says each of them play different roles and which they all take pride in doing.

"They have tremendous respect for each other, and they're willing to help anybody," Arnold said.

Keiger is a veteran to the tournament who volunteers with the whole family.

"It's a good thing to do, my wife, my daughter and granddaughter come here and it's a good time to be together and do things," said Keiger.

Behind the Golf Channel Broadcast: WPTV Exclusive

If you can’t make it out to PGA National this weekend, NBC Sports is providing coverage of the Honda Classic.

Tucked behind the course at PGA National are dozens of TV trucks. The Golf Channel broadcasts out of several of them.

The company employs about 220 employees for the tournament.

"When I first started producing our coverage, I wanted to get people that were golfers first and then got into the TV business," said NBC Sports producer Tommy Roy. "It's so they would understand the game, the history and how difficult a sport it is to not only play but to cover."

Hundreds of miles of cables are strung throughout the course to cover all 18 holes.

"If you think of doing a football game on one field, we're doing 18 different games on 18 different fields and so it's a lot to cover," Roy said.

You can catch coverage of the Honda Classic on the Golf Channel Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on then on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

WPTV NewsChannel will also air the tournament Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
