Flooding rains hit Martin, Palm Beach counties

Flood Warning For Eastern Martin County Until 9 A.M.

Persistent, heavy rain is occurring between Stuart and Hobe Sound. Trained weather spotters reported flooding along Kanner Highway and up to 5 inches of rainfall in the Port Salerno area.

The sheriff's office said westbound lanes of Kanner Highway near Fishermans Cove are shut down due to flooding.

Southbound lanes of Willoughby Road are shut down due to flooding between SE Indian Street and SE Pomeroy Street.

Additional rainfall of up to 3 inches will occur in the warned area before the shower activity is expected to dissipate later this morning.

Flood Advisory For Northeastern Palm Beach County Until 11:45 A.M.

Heavy rain will continue to cause minor flooding with up to three inches of rain having already fallen in some locations, with locally higher amounts to near 5 inches possible.

Some locations that will experience flooding include: West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, The Acreage, Royal Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.

Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the area.
