Dance machines for cystic fibrosis patients

Children suffering from cystic fibrosis have a new toy at the Palm Beach Children's Hospital.

The hospital unveiled the new starlight fun centers today.

These are moving units that have "just dance" and other games on them to get young patients moving.

"Cystic fibrosis is all a pulmonary disease. If we allow them to just lay around for the 10 days to 2 weeks that they're actually hospitalized, their lung function will decrease and that's not what we want. We want it to increase or stay the same," said Tracey Flood, who works at Palm Beach Children's Hospital.

Once the kids are admitted to the hospital, the machine will be rolled over to them.

They will be set up on a dancing regimen to time them to see how much activity they do each day.

Once they reach that goal, they can play the games on the machine just for fun.
