Teen shot and killed in Riviera Beach Sunday

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- A 17-year-old male was shot and killed in Riviera Beach Sunday afternoon.

Police say the teen was shot at approximately 1 p.m. in the 2900 block of R.J. Henley Avenue.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Shot spotter technology detected shots fired at a two story apartment building.

Police say it appears that shots had been exchanged between at least two parties, one on the ground and another on the second floor porch of the building.
