The man at center of what the FBI calls an illegal sober home ring may change his plea in court Wednesday.

Kenny Chatman faces several federal charges related to drug treatment facilities he operates in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

A judge set Wednesday as the deadline for Chatman to accept responsibility in this case before it goes to a trial. In court documents, Chatman’s lawyer wrote they are likely to resolve this case with a guilty plea.

Chatman is scheduled to be in court this afternoon for a change of plea hearing.

The 46-year-old previously pleaded not guilty to a long list of federal charges. They include conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.

Federal authorities raided a Lake Worth sober home in December 2016 in connection to Chatman.

Chatman’s wife, Laura, is also expected to change her plea in court this afternoon. Several other defendants facing changes in this case have already pleaded guilty.
