The man facing multiple counts of first-degree murder in a February triple homicide in Jupiter was issued no bond and assigned a public defender during his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
Christopher Vasata, 24, of Jupiter, was charged Monday but did not appear in court Tuesday after a bailiff told the judge the suspect was too sick to attend.
Police said Vasata had a "spiritual moment" and admitted to the attack while he was hospitalized recovering from injuries.
Investigators said they still need the public's helping finding other possible suspects in the Feb. 5 shooting deaths of Sean Henry, 26, Brandi El-Salhy, 24, and 20-year-old Kelli Doherty.
The renter of the house on Mohawk Street where the attack occurred said three to four masked people are to blame for the homicides.
