Firefighters have so far prevented a home and trailer from going up in flames from a brush fire in Martin County Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Forest Service.
The fire began off Wild Turkey Lane and is being fought by the forest service and Martin County Fire Rescue.
Three firefighting bulldozers are being used to battle the blaze that was 60% contained as of 3 p.m. Monday.
Strong winds and thick vegetation are causing problems for first responders.
