Don't be alarmed if you see a lot of law enforcement throughout the Treasure Coast on Wednesday.

A couple of drills are being held to increase safety and responses to terrorist attacks.

The drills are scheduled to start around 8 a.m. Wednesday. At the Tradition Irrigation Facility off Village Parkway Drive officers will simulate a chemical explosion.

Officials said the drill will include a low-lying cloud produced by dry ice, which poses no danger to the public and will float over a crowd pretending to watch a K9 demonstration.

Other drills will be held at Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch in Fort Pierce and at Witham Field in Stuart.

The drills are conducted every couple years and are set up over a period of six months. Thirty-four agencies are participating in Wednesday's drills.
