A man accused of carjacking an 11-year-old boy in West Palm Beach last year could take a plea deal in court Wednesday.
His defense attorney says Robert Hawkins may take the deal when he appears in court at 8:30 a.m.
Last April, police say Robert Hawkins and Eliezer Diaz are accused of holding the little boy at gunpoint, and taking him out of the car.
The car was parked outside City Market on Broadway and the boy's parents were inside.
Police said the two men also threw the boy's puppy out of the vehicle before they took off.
Officers found the two a few hours later and took them into custody.
Hawkins is facing several charges including robbery with a firearm.
