Kravis Center expansion plans approved

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has received the unanimous approval from the West Palm Beach City Commission to go ahead with its expansion plans.

The project will cost 50 million dollars and according to a news release, will help elevate the community's experience at the Kravis Center.

Some of the improvements include reducing congestion by increasing traffic flow and safety, more lobby space and restrooms.

In addition, the main garage located at Tamarind and Iris streets will see a major change.

Technology will also increase campus-wide to improve costumer service, security, box office communications and parking availability for guests, said the release.

Construction is set to start this summer and finish in the fall of 2019.
