Governor Bush Awards Home Discovery the 2005 Governor’s Entrepreneurship Award

 

Tampa, FL. Corporate Office September 19th, 2005    Steve Johnston, Founder and CEO & Rich Heruska, Cofounder and COO of Tampa-based Home Discovery Real Estate Services Corporation accepted the Entrepreneurship Award given  by Governor Jeb Bush at the 2005 Governor’s Business Diversification Awards Luncheon in Tallahassee.

 

The awards program, developed by Enterprise Florida (EFI), recognizes companies for their efforts to diversify and enrich the state's economy by creating higher-wage jobs and investing in their communities.  Other winners this year included Electronic Arts, Inc. (EA Sports, maker of Madden Football), Boeing Company and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation.  The announcements kick off Florida’s 21st Annual Industry Appreciation Week, created to spotlight excellence in Florida’s business sector.

 

Governor Bush honored companies that help diversify the state's economy with awards including the Governor's Entrepreneurship, Business Expansion, Newcomer, Export Excellence and Innovation Awards.  “I have committed to the people of Florida to build policies and programs that stimulate the growth of a stronger, more diversified economy that offers a higher quality of life.  I am proud to recognize the companies and organizations that create high-value jobs and invest their resources to build better communities throughout the state” stated Bush.
