The US Food and Drug Adminstration is saying no way to medicinal marijuana use. Regulators met today to speak out against measures to legalize the drug. They say "no scientific studies supported medical use of marijuana."
Not only are patients saying they disagree, many doctors are too. One physician says he writes a prescription for marijuana for people who already use prescribed narcotics. Using cannabis, a lot of people are able to stop narcotics altogether, reduce the dose and sometimes it merely gets rid of the side effects.
A Supreme Court decision last year gave the government power to arrest anyone using the drug. even for medical reasons in a state where it's legal.
