COPY-Former girlfriend says Cutts has dark side; father says daughter's death is "overwhelming"

Associated Press - June 25, 2007 9:33 AM ET

NEW YORK (AP) - A former girlfriend of Ohio murder suspect Bobby Cutts says he has a dark side.

Nikki Giavasis (jee-uh-VAY'-sis) tells NBC's "Today Show" that while she dated Cutts he harassed, stalked and abused her. She says she suspected him when she heard of Jessie Davis' disappearance.

Giavasis says Cutts became more aggressive and abusive when she tried to end the relationship, causing her to often "feel helpless." She feels she could have been a victim.

Giavasis and Cutts have a child and are currently involved in a custody battle.

Davis' father Ned Davis says this is a "very, very difficult" time for him. He tells the "Today Show" that the death of his daughter has been "overwhelming." He says he's "very appreciative" that her body was found and thanks all the volunteers who searched for her.

Cutts faces murder charges in the death of Davis and her fetus. He's the father of her son, and is also believed to be the father of her unborn child.
