TAMARAC, Fla. (AP) - It's a feeding frenzy at an aquarium store in Tamarac.
Tuesday nights used to be slow nights at Big Al's Aquarium Supercenter until the shark feedings began.
Seven sharks swim in the store's 5,000-gallon tank. Store officials say hundreds of people attend the weekly feedings.
Shark-feeding was banned in Florida waters in 2001 to prevent the marine animals from becoming too accustomed to humans.
Big Al's Aquarium Supercenter bills the shark feedings as educational. Employees quiz the audience on shark and coral reef trivia.
