Spread holiday cheer to the homeless

A local charity hosts a Christmas party for families who otherwise wouldn't have had a home for the holidays. "Art and Compassion" celebrated this year at Curry Park.

The group handed out toys and other gifts to homeless families. But, like many nonprofit organizations this season, they are low on donations.

Melissa Smith says, "There are still some children of the working poor and some children of homeless men and women who are able to be together with their families this Christmas and really don't have gifts to give."
