Stranger saves dog from burning home

A house fire in Palm Beach Gardens kills many cats. Now, the family who lived there is looking for the stranger who saved their dog.

Home video shows flames leaping out of a home on Daphne Avenue. No one was home at the time other than the family pets.

A complete stranger, possibly a FPL worker, rushed in to open the door of the home which likely saved a dog's life.

A young girl with a cell phone dialed 9-1-1. "There was a lot of smoke at first, and then you saw the flames, and then there's a dog that ran out and two cats," describes Krystal Simmons.

The American Redcross is helping out this family. But almost everything they own smells of smoke and will probably have to be replaced.
