Students in Miami walk out in protest

Dozens of students at Edison High School in Miami walked out of class on Monday in protest of last week's campus confrontation.

They want their Vice Principal removed, blaming him for a confrontation with a student last week, that sparked another violent protest. The brawl ended with the arrests of 27 students.

"Our school and the community are working together to ensure that Miami Edison stays on the positive track that it has been [on] in the recent years," Principal Jean Teal said in a press conference outside the school on Monday.  "And we are looking forward to getting back to a sense of normalcy and  [to] start the healing process."

The protesting students say the people arrested from friday's situation should all have their charges dropped.
