Yorkies rescued from Jupiter home

Animal Care and Control is flooded with calls from people wanting to adopt three dozen rescue Yorkies. But, officials say, they are going to be very careful about who gets these dogs.

They believe some of them might be inbred.

Authorities discovered 36 Yorkshire Terriers last week living in feces and garbage in a Jupiter town home.

Their owner, a registered nurse, was taken into custody under the Baker Act. The animals will be available for adoption by the end of the week.
