A 71-year-old woman is found murdered in her home, and her adopted son arrested.
Police say the woman cared for her child since he was 3 days old. He's now charged with first degree murder.
The sobbing of relatives, the sadness of dozens, all converged on Avenue F in Fort Pierce Tuesday afternoon where police found the body of Jeanette Anderson. "She was grandma. She taught us morals and live by the Golden Rule, 'Do unto others as you want done to you'".
Authorities say Anderson was murdered. The news just too much for some to bear as a crowd swelled under controllably in front of the home of the 71-year-old mother and grandmother. One woman had to be carried away.
Meantime, nearly an hour away in Riviera Beach, police got a tip to search the Stony Brook Apartments. A source says they found Anderson's son, Antwan, hiding in a closet there.
Police removed evidence and later charged the 19 year old with first degree murder.
