Wendy's gun threat: "WPB will look like child's play"

DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Sunday evening, a worker picked up the phone at a Wendy's on Linton Boulevard. On the line, an anonymous caller with a bone-chilling message.

According to a Delray Beach police report of the account the caller said quote: "Put my homeboy Danny in jail and when I'm done West Palm Beach will look like child's play"

The caller was referring to the deadly shooting at another Wendy's near West Palm Beach in March. Sixty year old Alburn "Eddie" Blake walked in and opened fire, wounding several people and killing Palm Beach County firefighter Lt. Rafael Vasquez.

As far as Danny, police say the caller was referring to a Wendy's worker who quit amidst allegations that he had stolen money from the fast food joint. Accusations that were never proven.

The call was traced back to that employees home, but at this point, police don't know who called the restaurant.

They continue to investigate the matter, given the seriousness of the threat.
