BOYTON BEACH, FL (Fox29) - Two men swiped a white Camaro from a senior citizen at knife point last week, then took it on a joy ride.
The driver of the stolen camaro refused to stop, speeding through residential neighborhoods. As the camaro approached, Poinciana Elementary, it lost control and smashed into the school's fence.
As an officer approached the car, the driver slammed on the gas, spinning the tires. Police eventually shot at the car and get their suspects.
"We want to send a message that if you commit a crime in the city of Boynton Beach and you pass a police car, whether it is marked or unmarked, we will see you and we will capture you." stated Stephanie Slater, Boyton Beach Police.
