Teens caught stealing copper wire

Two teens caught stealing copper wires reportedly told police they did it to pay for their gas and car insurance.

Port St. Lucie police say Michael Baronia and Anthony Tenhoe were caught in the act slicing power cords. The teens tell us they did it for the valuable copper wire found inside.

Police know of five victims so far, but admit there are probably many more. One victim said the damage to his RV was done in seconds, but will cost him about $300 dollars to replace.

Payback may not be easy, as both of the teens say they're unemployed.  They now face felony Grand theft charges.
