BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - A registered sex offender turns himself in after, police say, he tried to lure young girls into his Porsche at the mall.

Forty-three-year-old Kenneth Morton turned himself into Boynton Beach Police late Tuesday night after two young girls, ages 11 and 13, said he tried to pick them up at the Boynton Beach Mall Monday.

According to police, he was driving near the Boynton Beach Mall Monday evening in his silver Porsche. Investigators say he told the girls, who were waiting for the bus, that they were beautiful.

They claim he asked them their ages and offered to give them a ride in his sport scar. When they told him no, he threw a $100 bill at them and drove off.

On the bill - his phone number. Unbeknownst to him, several witnesses wrote down his license plate, and police were able to track him down.

Turns out, Morton is already a registered sexual offender who lives in Lantana. Found guilty in 2002 for lewd and lascivious behavior with a child under the age of 16.

The girls were never touched in this incident. In fact, they both took the money and used it at the corner store.

Morton is at the Palm Beach County Jail facing new charges of luring or enticing a child.
