New law to allow guns in car

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Fox 29) - A new law goes into effect today that allows you to keep a gun in your car at work.

Many businesses want the law declared unconstitutional. The Florida Chamber of Commerce says the law undermines the property rights of business owners.

Supporters say people have a constitutional right to carry firearms, and they should be able to keep guns in their cars for protection.

A U.S. District Judge declared the law badly written, but delayed ruling on a temporary injunction until later this month.
