Florida deputy shocks wife with Taser

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (Fox 29) - A Florida deputy was arrested by his own agency for allegedly using a Taser repeatedly on his wife.

Hillsborough County Sheriff, Carlos Tanner, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.

According to a sheriff's report he had been drinking and became involved in a domestic dispute with his wife. He is accused of shocking her three to four times, and then putting a gun to her head.

One local resident said, "I'm surprised. I didn't think anything like that would ever happen."

Tanner is being held without bond in the Hillsborough County Jail.
