Bringing news to new heights

NEW YORK CITY, NY (WLFX) - A dare devil is in custody after scaling the New York Times building in Manhattan. David Malone was spotted scaling the building around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

He made it to the 11th floor where he unfurled a banner that read "Bin Laden's Plan," featuring a picture of Bin Laden holding President Bush from puppet strings.

Police say The 29-year-old, is going to a hospital for evaluation. Last month two climbers were arrested for scaling the same building within the span of just a few hours.

New York spectators were watching Malone for about four hours.

A spokesperson for the New York Times says additional security was added to deter climbers and they're investigating how he was able to scale the building.
