WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - We're hear a mother's 9-1-1 call made after finding her son in the back of her sweltering SUV.
Mirlande Jean-Baptiste discovered her 4-year-old son, Gregory Cesar, after coming out of a nail salon. She was to marry later that day.
During the rescue call, she could barely tell the operator where she was. The 9-1-1 dispatcher walked her through CPR, but it was too late. Gregory died.
Jean-Baptiste: "My son's not breathing."
Dispatch: "Your son is not breathing? Is he breathing? Yes or no?"
Jean-Baptiste: "He's breathing, but he's not responding? You have to pay attention in order to help him."
She had no idea her son had crawled into the SUV before she left for the salon.
