BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - "Man I feel great. It's absolutely amazing," said an elated Jason Harper. The 29-year-old has never been this busy. "A lot of phone calls, press, newspaper, tv and radio," he said.

Wednesday morning he flies out to L.A. to professionally record a jingle he created, selected as the score for a McDonald's commercial.

It's all about a new promotional campaign for an old stand-by: the Big Mac.

Harper got 47 percent of the vote in a national contest. At his Boynton Beach home studio, he laid several tracks of his voice over each other to give the jingle some big sound. "I started with the concept on a grand scale, something a long the lines of a stadium, a lot of people singing something really big. I wanted to keep it catchy, very memorable. Obviously, we landed that," he said.

He has won awards already, but the McDonald's gig is the biggest project yet for a man who quit his job as a quality assurance manager in January and decided to devote himself fully to recording music and creating his own "Sunzoo Studios".

Talk about validation: "Through this, I've learned there is always a way when you are committed. If you make it a vow, and say, 'I am not going to give up,'" he said.

The commercial will air start airing next week.
