Back to School in St. Lucie County

Students are back in the classroom this morning in St. Lucie County.  It's the first day back again after Tropical Storm Fay's flooding gave them four days off.

The district headquarters were flooded and some schools were damaged but the classrooms are ready.

A lot of the streets leading into schools like Mariposa Elementary were impassable after the storms. The schools themselves have only sustained minor damage.

Officials say it will cost about a million dollars and months worth of work to get it back in order. They have assured Fox29 that none of the public student records have been damaged.
