The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has added Nassau, Palm Beach and Volusia Counties to their list of Florida areas that will receive public assistance after Tropical Storm Fay flooded parts of the state.

Local governments and eligible private non-profit organizations may now apply for FEMA aid to help pay for services like debris removal, emergency services and for repairing roads, buildings and utilities.

The addition of these three counties bring the total number of counties receiving FEMA aid to 15. Other areas receiving aid include Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Collier, Gadsden, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Monroe, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Union Counties.
