Police Investigating the Deaths of Two Local Women

The mystery surrounding the deaths of two local women is slowly unraveling. The first victim was found stabbed in her car. Then 16 hours later, her ex-girlfriend shot to death outside their home. Police are calling the second death a suicide.

Carol Ann Burger was so distraught over the death of her ex-girlfriend that she took her own life. That is the newest twist in the mysterious deaths of two women in Boynton Beach.

Burger shot herself on Friday behind the home that she shared on Churchill drive. She shared it with her ex-partner Jessica Kale. Their home is in the chapel hill neighborhood in Boynton Beach.

Kalish went missing on Thursday and was later found stabbed multiple times and then shoved into the backseat of her BMW sedan along South Congress Avenue.

Kalish's wallet and keys were eventually discovered a few miles away behind a business at 548 East Gateway Boulevard. Police are not yet saying anything about possible suspects or a potential motive. But the Palm Beach Post is reporting this morning that Burger was a writer for the well-known political web site The Huffington Post.

They're also reporting that Burger did not know about Kalish's death until a reporter called her on Friday. This case, however, remains open and active. And the police are looking for help from the public. If you know anything, you are asked to call Palm Beach County Crimestoppers at 1-800-458-tips.
