Teen indicted in Pahokee football player's shooting death

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a teenager in the shooting death of a Florida high school football player.

Palm Beach County prosecutors say Carl Lee Booth Jr. is indicted on three counts, including first-degree murder, attempted robbery and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Authorities say the 17-year-old didn't fire the fatal shot that killed Pahokee High School standout Norman "Pooh" Griffith on Sept. 27, but he participated in the crime. Another teen - 16-year-old Willie Felton - is the accused triggerman.

Felton faces first-degree murder and armed robbery charges, but his case has yet to be presented to a grand jury. Both remain in custody. The families of both teens say they are innocent.
